The Traffic Division is headed by Lieutenant Kukalski who is aided by Sergeant Jared Shatkin and patrol officers assigned to traffic duty on a rolling basis. The division also conducts traffic/speed studies utilizing several data capturing radar signs and conducts NJ MVC Inspection Details as well as enforcement details in an effort to reduce traffic collisions and improve pedestrian and vehicular safety and is responsible for the training and staffing of our crossing guards.
Residents wishing to have one of these lawn signs are encouraged to “wave down” a patrol car and introduce themselves to the officer and ask for a sign, or stop up at headquarters. We also have a limited supply of these signs as a vinyl decal that can be displayed on trash cans, etc.
